Spreading joy with Flowers ~
Q and A - with - Dos Gringos
Q: What are you up to now?
A: We are a little pensive as we close out the year. We are thankful for so many things. We also realize that others have challenges and at Dos Gringos we try to give back whenever we can.
Q: Love it. Tell me more. A: We assist in supporting many charities in a variety of ways. Some of us are on the charity boards and volunteer our time for events and yet the biggest way we add support is through all of our floral donations.
Q: What organizations do you support?
A: The are quite a few. For this week we would like to highlight our local charities and provide some interesting statistics.
Q: Sounds good!
A: Here they are in no particular order.
Q: What happens during the show?
A: We try to speak with as many of our clients as we can. We had a lot of great clients come through our booth which makes the day fly by! We also host an evening party for our clients during which we get to let down our hair a little bit (not me of course.) Then, come Sunday, it is time to tear it all down, pack it all up, ship it back home, head home ourselves and fall into bed.

For more than twenty years we have helped assist Meals on Wheels in a board/advisory capacity and by floral donations. Every north county recipient gets a bouquet for their birthday, we honor the volunteers at an annual luncheon with bouquets and we contribute to various fundraising events. Below, the band conductor and concert master receive bouquets after they donated their musical talents to help raise money for Meals on Wheels.

For more than 10 years, we have provided local garden clubs with flowers and greens. In turn, they make and deliver bouquets to hospitalized soldiers at our two military hospitals. We received this recently.
