Issue № 238 California Dreaming of Funky Fall Offerings ~
Q and A - with - Dos Gringos
Q: Last week you featured summer vacations. What are you up to this week?
A: Actually we are working hard planting our fall crops.
Q: Do tell! A:
Our pumpkin trees, French marigolds, millets, different ornamental grasses and other fun fall items are all starting to go in the ground. Check out this video of our pumpkin trees being planted.
Q: How are these used?
A:
We use our pumpkins and other fall crops in our fall bouquet line as well as in our consumer bunch program.
Q: Anything else?
A: Yes, sadly these seasonal crops average around 10 weeks of harvesting. Our pumpkin trees are available only in September and October for example. We plan and plant these fall crops but we normally spec about 15% extra so if these are of interest then let us know asap.
Q: Anything else?
A: Of course! I wish you all a wonderful spring season full of happiness, good times and, of course, lots and lots of colorful “let’s party” flowers.
Here are a few photos of some team members in action and flowers getting prepped for packing.
