Issue № 242 Be a little better today than you were yesterday: Part Uno ~
Q and A - with - Dos Gringos
Q: What are you taking about now?
A: One of our 5 Core Values is Constant Improvement. We try to get just a “Little” better each day and, if we do that, eventually those “Little” improvements add up to be meaningful.
Q: That sounds like a good way to operate. How have these “Little” improvements added up so far in 2017?
A:
Here are a few highlights from the team…..
-
We have created 71 new jobs so far this year.
-
We have doubled our production at our Gringo South facility vs last year.
-
We upgraded our cybersecurity with software and procedures to ensure operational uptime in the event we are attacked.
-
We programed software reports to aid in forecasting analysis and foster communications internally and with our customers.
-
We touched up our facility aesthetics with fresh coats of paint where we needed it.
-
We added four new spin bikes and new audio and visual system for our gym.
-
We added two new, faster / go-higher forklifts.
-
We added a secure dedicated seed room were we store and distribute our sunflower seeds
Q: That’s pretty good. Anything else?
A:
Well, that’s part one. We’ve done a few more good things, but we’ll save those for next week. Here are some pictures of the improvements.
New spin bikes with DVD's so you can take a spin on your own if you want

New dedicated seed room is being built out. P.S. That top row of white boxes is what 2,000,000
sunflowers look like before we put them in the ground.

One of the two new forklifts to keep the shipping department humming.

Nothing like a fresh coat of paint. It’s hard to believe that we built this building 15 years ago.
